Review: On Thin Ice by PJ Sharon

When I first started reading this book I thought that the fact itself that the main character's mother had cancer was a big idea to write about. It's always interesting knowing how people handle this kind of situations. But then the whole book started becoming a BIG DRAMA. Page after page Penny started going through an endless list of dramatic situations. 

I think her mother's illness and getting pregnant were enough to turn Penny's character into a touching one, but all the others problems were too much for me. 

I didn't like the relationship between Penny and Carter. In my opinion, it was all too fast and little credible, and I either liked his actions after they break up. On the other hand, I love the relationship between Penny and her sister Sarah. I would have loved having a sister as supportable as her. 

I don't think On Thin Ice is a story of an average teen life. Don't get me wrong, what I mean it's I don't think there's so many teen girls who go through so many hard situations. The author writing style is simple and easy to read what it's fine but like I say before there's so much drama in the whole book. In resume, I was expecting a more credible story. 

Review: Frostbite by Richelle Mead.

Hello! ok I know I should have made this review long time ago! but hey! here I am now!
Of all the books I have to say this one belongs to my favorites (and trust me the 4 one didn't get that place in my heart!) Well..this book it's kind of sad but it made Rose stronger as well! The author is pretty clear in the way she explains the details of the book...
I obviously didn't like the fact that one of the good characters died! ( I swear I said something like "sad mood activated" ) All happened so fast it was like closing your eyes and then BAM! After the Strigois took Mason,Christian,Mia,Rose and Eddie with them..well let's say that those days were the hardest 3 days ever! Moving on...in this book Rose is afraid that Dimitri might fall in love with Tasha (Tasha is Christian's aunt)..the bad new is that Dimitri is really trying to, because he wants to forget  about Rose and move on with his life, the good news are that he said NO to Tasha and stay with Rose at the end :3..Rose get her first 2 Molnijas mark and everything turns out pretty good. Mia becomes a nice person after her mom died ( which is pretty sad though I cried) and Lissa and Christian are better than ever! and when I say it I mean it! You'll see why in the next 3 books!

I really loved the first book, The taker, so much that as soon as I finshed it I went to amazon page and bought this one cause I couldn't wait to know how was going to continue Lanny and Adair's story.

This book it's really a patient proof. When Adair is freed it's like he's a little kid. The new age it's different from all he know and his only desire it's to find Lanny and claim revange. But this it's not gonna be easy as soon as Adair find out how strong are his feeling toward her.

Meanwhile, Lanny run away from Luke, afraid of what Adair could do to him when he finally find her. I don't like Luke's character. I understand that he was necessary in the firts book because Lanny needed someone to help her to scape, but I think he's not necesary anymore and and I'm  gonna kill myself if Lanny truly fell in love with him and ends with him

I really hated that Adair figured out that Jonathan was ncesary and brought him back. For real, I don't like Jonathan's character either and was really anoiyng read the scenes about Adair asking Jonatha's advice to get Lanny's love.

Anyway, I loved the book. It's as dark and addictive as the first one and once I started reading I couldn't stop. Overall, I loved the change on Adair. OMG!!! I don't care how bad and dark he's and how many damage hi did on his past, he really loves Lanny and hurts him not be able to make her happy. It was awsome reading a little bit more about him and how he became what he's.

Just thinking I must wait almost one year more to read the next book it's enough to make me want to kill someone, I just hope the wait be worth and this dark and uncommon love have a happy end XDD.

Review: The taker by Alma Katsu

I was expecting this book to be like any other sobrenatural book, but it's nothing like that. Of course, it has a lot of sobrenatural staff, but nothing like you could think about. Alma Katsu comes up with the darkest side of love and obessions. 

Lanny it's a girl who had been in love with Jonathan since her childhood. Despite the oposition of her family Lanny beomes Jonathan's best firend. Over the time, Jonathan seems to develop some feelings for Lanny and the consecuences of those feelings put her into a really bad situation. Forced by her father, Lanny must left to Boston and it's then when she meets Adair and his companios, a little group of morbid habits. By Adair's hands, Lanny find out a new whole world of dark pleasures. 

I must say that even though it's one of the most dark and evil character that I have ever met, I loved Adair. He's obscure, take pleasure from humiliation and pain, but seem to have some weakness for Lanny and sometimes can even be a little bit tender and kind. Maybe I loved Adair's character bucause I found Jonathan's character too perfect and annoying. He knows about Lanny love, but seems unable to reciprocate it and doesn't care hurting he. 

And now, Lanny. First I thought I was going to be inable to like her and her obsesion, but she makes a really big change along the book. One of the best things about The taker it's seing Lanny pass from a child obssesed with the perfect boy to bea woman secure of herself and able to face Adair's intentions. 

On my opinion, The taker isn't a book about love, but obsesion. It's about morbidness, jealousy, and showing up the most dark side of human soul. But even though, there's place to love although isn't the romantic, perfect, fairy tale love we could had been expecting.

Yess! I'm finally going to talk about one of my favorite books! Well let's start with the characters!
Rose: Oh my beautiful Rose! or the way Dimitri would say Roza! (so cute lol)...Ok so Rose is a Dhampir (dhampirs are the guardians of Morois by the way Morois are vampires) soo Rose is a Dhampir but not just a normal one, she has a bound with Lissa (Lissa is a Moroi,a royal one!) Anyways what I love about Rose is how sarcastic she can be! Oh and we can not forget about how she protects Lissa ALL the time...umm she can be a little immature sometimes oh and rude ohh dear God she can be really rude when she wants to! Most of the time people irritates her( specially Mia but we're not talking about her yet!)
Dimitri: Do I really have to mention how hot he looks in my mind? lol. Well that's how the author describes him..a really tall Russian man with long hair,brown eyes and a mysterious look! Dimitri is like 7 years older than Rose, he's always so calm that even Rose complains about that. He's Rose's instructor so he can not fall in love with her....but even if he try to stay in control..well go read the book and find out what happened! :P
Lissa: I really I have to be honest..so I'm gonna say that in this book I don't like Lissa at all! I do really feel sorry for her but she acts way too dumb here, like every time Mia says something mean to her she always "always!" turn to Rose! I like her better in the second one tho. Well I do think is pretty awesome all the spirit powers thing, that's what I like about her oh and that she's sweet most of the time.
Mia: ummm how would Rose call her?? Oh yeah the worst bitch ever! (I'm sorry for the word but Rose call her like that) and she is a real bit** she's always trying to take down Lissa and Rose and trust me guys she tried really HARD!
What I think about the book in general? Well I enjoyed every single line,page of it! I bet you gonna love it! <3 good night.

Review Afterlight by Elle Jasper

Ok, here we go. What can I say about a book I was expecting to be amazing?? Well, It wasn't at all. 

Writing about vampires it's nothing but new, so we can say it's a little bit hard to come up with  something unexpected on the paranormal books market. I loved the cover, I'm not gonna make a secret of that, but there're some really annoying aspects about this reading I didn't like it.  

First, Riley Poe is an uncommon character, and yeah that's a really good thing, so I'm gonna let it go cause I guess I'm just fine with her. She had had a really bad background (by the way, I wonder why she doesn't feel guilty about her mother's dead o_0?) but she had succeed on that and had came up with an  ink shop and takes care of  her younger brother. Riley is an strong character like a few ones more. 

When her brother Seth becomes involved in problems, she doesn't even think about putting all she has to  protect and help him even if that means been in touched with vampires. Sooo, here's when we met Eligius Dupre (since he's french and from like two centuries ago I'm not gonna make fun of that ridiculous name XDD) but if you are part of his family or some hot-ink-shop-owner you can call him just Eli :D Yeah, he's a vampire and...he's attracted by Riley and her unique-type-blood. Ohh, I forgot to mention that?? Sorry!? 

Like I said, it's a little bit hard come up with something new about vampires. Some hot-dangerous-but-irresistible-guy isn't enough to capt the reader attention. All of us know vampires sucks blood, only show up at night, and that they live like...forever?? Yeah, Elle Jasper made an original intent trying to add the Gullah magic but I don't think it's enough either. 

Besides, the chapters are soooo long, even to be a book with a pocket edition. The first part is simply boring. So many descriptions and so little action. I think the best of the book it's the sexual tension between Riley and Eli, and even that it's boring because, seriously, how many time have we read about the same? 

I feel disappointed and a don't think I'm gonna run to amazon or bookdepository to buy the next book :P

My thoughts about this book? Well I loved the story of this girl..she has been through a lot of things, but I have to say that I don't really love the way the author wrote the book..umm I don't know it's kind of confusing. So... when Melinda finally start high school she thinks that she could make new friends I don't know someone that haven't heard about her yet..but unfortunately she was wrong almost everyone  knew about that party at the end of the summer in the one of course nothing good happened, specially to her.

Well to start I don't really like the character of Melinda. Yes, I feel really sorry for her but the way she solve the problems are not the best. I mean why she didn't  tell anyone about what happened to her! It's really frustrating! I swear I was reading the book and I was like "Speak Melindaaa speak for God sake do something!" I know I took it way too serious (lol) but it feels like that! 

Then its Heather..such a hypocrite! ugh! to be honest I kinda like her at first because she was being so good with Melinda but then she change like A LOT  and really fast!..Yes Heather I know that being popular feels good, but you seriously couldn't be more rude like for real!

Rachel: The popular girl that changes her name more than once in a week because she truly believe she has to experience every culture (at least I see it that way) I mean she changes yeah but all depends of the person she is hanging out with in that moment!..Ohh forgot to say..she'll do what ever to go out with Andy Beast 

Andy Beast: Andddd here we go the moment we were all waiting for! Andy Beast the typical popular guy! the one every single girl in the school wants to be with even knowing he's a jerk and has a pretty long bad reputation but hey! that's not a problem because he's cute! T____T 

Anyway besides all I have said I did enjoy the book..lets say it was a good experience :D yeah lets keep it like that! oh by the way if you going to read it I can tell you that you going to enjoy the revenge of Melinda! aha! well with nothing else to say Good night! <3

Review of The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

The Hunger Games...Great Book!! Everything starts when Katniss's father dies,her mom never got it over so Katniss is the one who have to take care of everything especially of her little sister Prim.Katniss live in district number 12 where people are starving to dead...Katniss is the one who hunt in order to feed her family,but that day is not just a normal day, that day they're celebrating the Hunger Games. Prim (Katniss's sister) just turn 12 and the rules says that when you turn 12 you have to sign ,you have to write your name in the hunger games list. When the reaping take place the name picked is Prim but Katniss offered to volunteer...when the boy name is announced Katniss is surprise because the boy is going with her is who save her years ago...now what she suppose to do? the hunger games are cruel you have to kill everyone if you want to survive!!! so what she have to do kill that person who once save her?...or what else she have to do??..That's it The Hunger Games are ON!!

Sweet Evil is a paranormal romance book....Anna is a teenager but not an ordinary one ,she can feel and see the emotions of people. The thing is that Anna is the daughter of a fallen Angel and a guardian Angel, but Anna feels an inexplicable pull toward danger , she always had the advantage of her angel side to balance the darkness within. When Anna turns 16 she meets this handsome boy name Kaidan whose dad is a demon Duke and he don't like good girls at all.... Anna has to leave to know more about her destiny and Kaidan goes with her there is when the love story come out and Anna has to be strong to don't lose her love.   I recommend this book is amazing how she explains every single feeling when he touch her or kiss her or even been close to her, and has one hundred percent fantasy and romance.
